On the Lake

Gravenhurst has a long history of boatbuilding and boat loving. As the original entry point for Muskoka, Gravenhurst saw the trains arrive three times daily from Toronto and the Steamships, gliding gracefully over the lakes to deliver passengers to their final destination.

Today, our rich heritage can still be seen in the private boathouses around the lakes. Whether cruising along in a Minett-Shields, Ditchburn, Greavette or a brand new Blackbird, Lake Muskoka offers the best views of Gravenhurst. There are several locations to launch your boat. Or visit our Business Directory for a list of boat rental and marina locations.

Gravenhurst is also home to many beaches for swimming and sun. For a complete list of beaches contact 705-687-6774.
